在中美双方就中国加入世贸组织达成协议之际，中国的经济发展将面临更大的机遇和挑战。为了促进我国高技术产品的出口，提高出口产品的国际竞争力，外经贸部、科技部联合组织实施了科技兴贸行动计划。由科技部中国科技促进发展研究中心《科技兴贸战略指标体系制定》课题组和本刊编辑部共同组织的本期专题笔谈，邀请了各方面专家对科技兴贸的意义及如何实施科技兴贸行动计划，提出了一些建设性的意见，希望能对有关部门和关心该计划的读者有所帮助
As China and the United States reach an agreement on China’s accession to the WTO, China’s economic development will face even greater opportunities and challenges. In order to promote the export of China’s high-tech products and increase the international competitiveness of their export products, the MOFTEC and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly implemented the plan of rejuvenating trade through science and technology. The current issue of the symposium jointly organized by the Research Group of Science and Technology Trade Strategy Indicators and the Editorial Department of Science and Technology at the China Science and Technology Development Research Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology invited all experts on the importance of science and technology to trade and how to implement the strategy of rejuvenating trade through science and technology Plan of action and put forward some constructive suggestions in the hope of helping relevant departments and readers concerned about the plan
