大学英语课文讲解一直存在着两种不同的现象,反映了两种不同的侧重点:一方面强调基础知识即单词、词组和句型结构的讲解;另一方面强调学生思维能力的培养。但大学生的英语学习已经进入了高层次的能力培养阶段,应该强调学生思维能力的培养。而大学英语课文的讲解成为了此能力提高的一个重要途径。因此,在大学英语课文的讲解中应侧重于学生英语思维能力的培养。
There have been two different phenomena in college English textual explanations, reflecting two different focuses: on the one hand, emphasis is placed on the basic knowledge of words, phrases, and sentence structure; on the other hand, students’ thinking ability is emphasized. However, undergraduates’ English learning has entered a high-level ability training stage and students’ thinking ability should be emphasized. The explanation of college English texts has become an important way to improve this ability. Therefore, in the explanation of college English texts, students should focus on the cultivation of their English thinking ability.
