The clinical features of elderly patients with colorectal cancer are associated with more morbidity and higher incidence of surgical complications. In our hospital from April 1990 to April 1998, 35 cases of elderly colorectal cancer were treated, accounting for 12.1% of patients with colorectal cancer in the same period (35 /298).
