上海市政协大楼是市政协机构办公、会议、活动之用房,并同时可提供文化、娱乐、学术交流的活动场所。由于原政协文化俱乐部已不能适应新形势发展的需要,于是,在原有建筑的西南侧,扩建了新大楼。大楼位于上海市北京西路、泰兴路交口、靠近繁华南京西路中心地段,交通十分方便,是目前北京路上最高建筑。这是一座由高层主楼和低层裙楼联结一体的组合建筑,占地面积1800平方米,总建筑面积13000平方米。主楼地面廿一层(包括夹层),地下一层,建筑总面积9000平方米,建筑高达74米。裙楼地面二层,半地下室
The Shanghai CPPCC Building is the home of CPPCC offices, conferences, and events. It also provides cultural, entertainment, and academic exchange activities.
