《三国演义》是我国第一部长篇章回小说。全书描写了魏、蜀、吴三国鼎立时期,封建社会由乱到治、由分裂到统一的过程中,地主阶级内部各派政治力量之间错综复杂的矛盾和尖锐激烈的斗争。由于这种矛盾斗争往往发展成为接连不断的军事冲突,因而以最多的篇幅描写战争和善于描写战争,正是这部古典名著在题材上和艺术上的主要特色。可以说,三国时期的一些著名战例,几乎都在《三国演义》中得到了形象生动的表现。小说的作者不仅以绚烂多彩的笔墨给人们展示了一幅又一幅波澜壮阔、惊心动魄的战争风云图,
“The Romance of the Three Kingdoms” is the first Chinese fiction novel. The book describes the period in which the Wei, Yi, and Wu states stood apart, and the process of feudal society from chaos to rule and from split to unity. The intricate contradictions and sharp and fierce struggles between political forces within the landlord class. Because this kind of contradictory struggle often develops into successive military conflicts, it is the main feature of the classic masterpiece that is characterized by the greatest description of war and good depiction of war. It can be said that some of the famous battles during the Three Kingdoms period were almost vividly represented in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
