As a key state-owned key enterprise that is related to the national energy security and the lifeline of the national economy, SGCC takes investment in the construction and operation of power grids as the core business and provides strong power security for economic and social development. In recent years, SGCC has fully realized the importance of doing well in the appraisal of occupational skills under the new situation, and attached great importance to the appraisal of vocational skills and the training of highly-skilled personnel. In 2012, SGCC organized a total of 3.35 million staff trainings, including 1.89 million skilled personnel trainings, 1535 senior technicians and 8,375 technicians, through active training of technical skills and qualification of staff and workers.
