由于与外界的交流和沟通有限,加上边疆地区经济、文化落后,除应付考试外,英语教育对边疆地区民族来说,可有可无。信息缺失的结果造成认知的缺失,教师在英语教学过程中付出成倍的心血,往往也只能事倍功半,使得偏远少数民族地区的英语教学成为一项艰难的工作。英语教学的发展需要社会、学校、家庭、教师、学生等全民共同努力。
