预测是译员在口译过程中常用的一种非常重要的策略,它可以使译员在所掌握的语言基础和相关背景知识的基础上,对即将听到的信息进行积极的预测,为译员赢得更多的时间,减轻译员的压力,提高翻译质量。本文以2010年10月21日中国驻英大使刘晓明在英国圣玛丽小学孔子课堂签字和揭牌仪式上的讲话为例,进一步强调口译中预测策略的重要性和必要性,重点讨论在口译中如何更加有效地运用预测策略,使译员在充分准备的基础上,在口译中做到运筹帷幄,灵活应变,游刃有余。
Prediction is a very important strategy commonly used by interpreters in interpreting process. It enables translators to make positive predictions about the information to be heard and win more for translators based on the language foundation and relevant background knowledge The time to relieve the pressure of translators and improve the quality of translation.
