甜瓜(Cucumis melo L.)属葫芦科,据文献纪载,在民间医学中,常用这种植物的种子治疗膀胱疝痛和作为驱肠虫剂.甜瓜种子内含有25.4%脂肪油、少量挥发油和鞣质;但种子仁中,脂肪油的含量可高达44.5%;脂肪油中,饱和脂肪酸占10.11%,十八碳烯酸甘油酯占29.76%,亚麻油烯酸甘油酯占59.43%.研究中所采用的制剂,是全种子、去皮种子、种子外皮和仁的70%乙醇、乙醚与水的提取物;实验所用的动物有蚯蚓、蛙滴虫、猫蛔虫与绦虫.在体外实验中,证明浓度1∶20的全种子乙醚提取物,经2.5小时能使蚯蚓陷于麻痹状态;从蛙直肠取出的滴虫,置于预先滴有2-3滴盐水的载玻片上,当滴加一滴稀释10倍的全种子乙醚提取物时,经10分钟能把滴虫杀死.浓度1∶10的全种子水提取物,历10分钟能杀死猫蛔
Melon (Cucumis melo L.) belongs to the cucurbitaceae. According to the literature, in the folk medicine, seeds of this plant are commonly used to treat bladder spasm and as an anthelmintic agent. Melon seeds contain 25.4% fat oil, a small amount of volatile oil and wolfberry. But in seeds, the content of fatty oil can be as high as 44.5%; in fatty oils, saturated fatty acids account for 10.11%, octadecenoic acid glycerides account for 29.76%, and linolenic acid glycerides account for 59.43%. The preparations used were extracts of 70% ethanol, ethyl ether and water from whole seeds, peeled seeds, seed coats and kernels; the animals used for the experiments were cockroaches, trichomonas, caterpillars and aphids. In vitro experiments demonstrated concentrations. A 1:20 whole-seed ether extract allowed the depression to paralyze after 2.5 hours. The trichomoniasis removed from the frog rectum was placed on a glass slide pre-dried with 2-3 drops of saline. When the drop was added, it was diluted 10 times. When the whole-seed ether extract is used, the trichomoniasis can be killed in 10 minutes. The whole-seed water extract at a concentration of 1:10 can kill cats for 10 minutes.
