土默特左旗种植甜菜历史悠久,是内蒙古甜菜集中产区之一。多年来糖农在科技人员的帮助下,总结出一套丰产高糖栽培措施,经过七年的田间试验和生产实践表明,效果显著。概括其要点有“三关”十六条:一、备耕播种关(3月～4月上旬)。1.选地要求。要选适合种甜菜的中等地,即耕层有机质含量1.0—1.5%,全氮量0.1%左右,速效磷15ppm 左右,四年轮作的夏茬地。
