西德哈庭根蒂亨森利克斯冶金公司的钢厂,于1980年3月18日,浇注了一根350吨的钢锭,这就是欧洲最大的锻造钢锭。钢锭为铬、镍、钼、钒合金钢。该钢锭由两台吹氧转炉和一台电炉熔炼合浇。合金是用另一电弧炉熔化,在液态下倒入几个钢水包,钢水在三个钢水包中用RH循环除气装置进行真空碳脱氧,然后用下浇法浇注。这种规格的钢锭是用来生产发电设备用的大型汽轮机转子和发电机转子的。钢锭经过将近四天的凝固时间,在赤热状态下从锭模中取出,由专用车运往锻造厂,在8000吨水压机上锻造。
On March 18, 1980, a steel plant of Siddharthangen Henschelx Metallurgical Company was poured with a 350-ton ingot, the largest forged steel ingot in Europe. Steel ingot is chromium, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium alloy steel. The ingot by two oxygen blowing furnace and an electric furnace melting combined. The alloy was melted with another electric arc furnace and poured into several ladle pieces in the liquid state. The molten steel was vacuum carbon deoxidized with RH circulation degassing apparatus in three ladle and cast with the pouring method. Steel ingots of this size are used to produce large steam turbine and generator rotors for power generation equipment. After nearly four days of ingot solidification time, removed from the mold in the red hot state, transported by special vehicles forging plant, forging in the 8000 tons of hydraulic press.
