立体声(磁带)录音机是录制,贮存,重放立体声节目信号的设备,它将立体声(两声道或四声道)信号分别记录在一条磁带的若干个磁迹上,重放时左右声道同步(即无时差)放出,各声道(两个或四个)具有包括磁头在内的分别独立的录放通道,它们组装在一个整体中,其磁带的运转机构与单声道录音机完全相同.立体声录音机的电路结构比起单声道录音机稍为繁杂些,但其基本工作原理是相同的,故这一部分本讲从略.本文主要是从立体声录音机的一些特点以及与单声道录音机相异之处加以综合叙述.
