瓠瓜新组合甬瓠1号是以地方品种宁波夜开花经多代自交选择出的自交系94-04-3-1为母本,以另一地方品种经多代自交选择出的自交系NC94-4-09-15为父本,杂交选育而成的一代杂种。该品种植株生长势和分枝性强,耐低温、弱光性能较强,耐病,适于大棚早春栽培。单瓜质量约0.5kg。大棚早春栽培的667m~2产量可达3500kg以上。商品瓜长棒形,瓜长约50cm,瓜横径4～5cm。瓜表皮绿色,表面光滑,瓜顶部尖圆,瓜肉白色、肉质致密、口感细嫩微甜,品质佳,商品性好。适合于浙江、江苏、上海等地区早春保护地栽培。
