The charge accumulation in the process of electroosmosis is the main reason for the voltage drop between the electrode and the soil interface. The charge accumulation region is regarded as a special capacitor, which simulates the capacitance effect between the interface of the soil and the electrode. The voltage drop, capacitance spacing and pore water pressure in the soil after resistance series connection were tested by the cylindrical electrode and the electrode plate to verify the reasonableness of the interfacial capacitance assumption. At the same time, it was pointed out that as the electroosmosis progressed, the charge accumulation increased and the voltage drop Increases, and the capacitance formed by the cylindrical electrode is larger than the capacitance formed by the electrode plate.
