沈阳故宫目前保留的29块门额中,文德坊与武功坊的牌匾为崇德二年制作的原始门额,是满、汉、蒙古三种文字的横书形制。其余,无论是清入关前的建筑还是入关后增设建筑,悬挂的都是乾隆年间制作的门额,为满、汉两种文字的竖书形制。这些门额的满文翻译,多数采用了意译与音译结合的方式。北京故宫门额上的满文翻译,则是康熙年间采用音译,乾隆年间多为意译和音译相结合、少数采用音译。沈阳故宫在悬挂乾隆年间制作门额之前,应该悬挂过于崇德元年制作的门额,这种门额应该是满、汉、蒙古三种文字的竖书形制。
