不列颠战役以德国失败而告终,英德双方在这一战争中的情报表现极大地左右了最后的结局。英国信号情报系统对德军作战指令的成功截收,连同雷达系统针对纳粹空军空袭的出色预警,在英国本土上空形成了一道严密的信息防空网,成为英国最终取得空战胜利的关键因素之一。德国空军情报工作却差强人意,外国空军处在忽略德国空军缺陷的同时,总是盲目乐观地判断德军轰炸的效果,轻视了英国雷达系统在空战中的重要作用,从而严重影响了希特勒政府在不列颠战役中的战略决策并导致德军的失利。
