The vigorous economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region (mainly East Asia) in 1993 remains the highlight of the world’s economic development. The major developed countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Japan’s economy, has yet to come out of the trough. Although the U.S. recovery has accelerated, its annual growth rate has dropped by less than 3%. The growth in the Asia-Pacific region is mainly due to the rapid economic growth in developing countries and regions Development, including China, “four small”, four ASEAN countries, five South Asian countries and Vietnam, 14 Asian developing countries and regions, achieved an average growth rate of 7.1%, compared with the average growth rate of OECD member countries More than 6 percentage points higher. Looking forward to 1994, with the acceleration of economic recovery in the United States, Japan’s gradual recession, and the continued growth of China and ASEAN countries, the Asia-Pacific economy will continue to be full of vitality and serve as a locomotive for world economic development.
