Recently, we treated a 4-year-old girl who had been poisoned by lead popcorn for many years and once again reminded us of the dangers of lead. Children are in the period of growth and development. Regardless of acute chronic lead poisoning, they have adverse effects on various systems of children’s bodies, especially the nervous system, kidneys, hematopoietic system and blood vessels. Chronic lead poisoning more common in children aged 2 to 3 years to the largest proportion of preschool children. From poisoning to symptoms of poisoning after about 3 to 6 months, showed severe central nervous system diseases, such as epilepsy, hyperactivity, speech development disorders, aggressive behavior. And mental retardation will affect a person’s life. At present, the world’s awareness of lead poisoning in children has greatly improved. In the 1970s, scientists diagnosed lead poisoning in children as having a blood lead concentration of 60 micrograms / liter. Nowadays, the standard is 10 micrograms / liter. Because at this level, children’s growth and intellectual impairment have been compounded. Lead can be said to be omnipresent, and as long as it is less alert in everyday life, it can attack children. Such as paint everywhere in life, infants and young children, especially those who have just teeth toothbrush like to play with the paint
