Objective: To explore the value of predictive fall prevention in integrated medical wards. Methods: A total of 110 patients admitted to the hospital from July 2014 to July 2015 were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into observation group and control group, 55 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care. The observation group was based on the nursing care of the control group, and the predictive fall prevention nursing measures were used. The fall status, awareness of the risk factors of fall and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: The average number of falls in the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group (P <0.05). The observation group’s awareness of the risk of falling was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group Control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: The prospective fall prevention nursing can effectively improve the patient awareness of falls related knowledge, reduce the incidence of falls, ensure patient safety and improve the overall quality of care.
