1938年11月上海沦陷,日本侵略军逼近南京,应学生于右任之请,马相伯入滇蜀,道经越南谅山,因病留居。胡愈之到谅山看望他,他说:“我是一只狗,只会叫,叫了一百年,还没有把中国叫醒。”
In November 1938, when Shanghai was occupied by Japan and the Japanese Aggression Forces approached Nanjing, they should be invited by Yu Youren at the student’s appointment.
