为了推进林木良种化工作,日本林野厅召开了由各方面有经验的林木育种工作者参加的“林木育种讨论会”,从1975年7月以来进行过多次讨论,对日本林木良种化问题提出了报告书,现将报告书的主要内容介绍如下:一、对林木良种化事业的基本认识林业在日本国民经济中占重要地位,为了培育优质高产的森林,高度发挥森林的经济效能和公益效能,必须对林木的遗传品质、环境条件和栽培技术进行改良,林木良种化正是实现上述目标的重要途径之一。
