林风眠是我国近代美术史上艺术成就最高的大师之一,早期在巴黎留学,深受“印象派”“野兽派”以及“立体派”艺术理论的熏陶。在林风眠的美术作品中,既有塞尚、勃拉克的艺术结构形式的内在柔美,又有马蒂斯、毕加索在色彩运用中的激情而又奔放、热烈而又爆炸似的刚烈之美。受西方现代主义思潮的影响,他的作品的造型语言无不透露出对自然的关照,然而,他的绘画材料都显示出是地地道道的中国传统
Lin Fengmian is one of the most accomplished masters of art in the history of modern Chinese art. He studied in Paris early and was deeply influenced by the art theory of “Impressionism ” “Fauve ” and “Cubism ”. In Lin Fengmian’s works of art, there are both the inherent softness of the artistic structure of Cezanne and Braque as well as the passionate, explosive and fierce beauty of Matisse and Picasso in the use of color. Influenced by the western modernism, all the stylistic language in his works reveals the natural concern. However, his paintings show an uncanny Chinese tradition
