我省地处江、淮、沂、沭、泗下游,丘陵山区总面积约1.5万km~2,平原沙土区面积2万km~2,占全省总面积的三分之一,多年来,我省的水土保持工作取得了明显成效,水土流失治理率已超过了50%。但是,由于特定的自然、区位条件,决定了我省的水土流失在危害程度和危害方式上有自身的特点,鉴于对水土流失的程度和机理还了解不够,为了进一步了解我省水土流失的现状,掌握水土流失的机理,更好地为开展水土保持工作提供决策依据,建立我省水土保持地面监测体系十分必要。
