英语阅读不是一个机械的、被动的单向过程,而是一个复杂的、主动的,读者与作者互动的过程。社会建构主义理论非常重视教学中教师与学生,学生与学生之间的相互作用,重视合作学习,交互式教学。因此,两者理念基本一致。把社会建构主义教学理论应用于英语阅读教学中,激发学生的动机,创建与阅读材料相关的语境,促进合作学习,提供真实的任务来加深理解,训练阅读技巧等,对进一步提升英语阅读教学的效果,具有十分重要的意义。
