该品种系黑龙江八一农垦大学于1981年以九农13号为母本,绥农4号为父本杂交育成。1986年F_5代决选品系,品系号为农大8170-2,1987～1988年参加校内鉴定试验及异地鉴定试验,1989～1991年参加联合区域试验,1991年在区域试验的同时进行生产试验。区域试验和生产试验结果,比对照品种合丰25号平均增产10%以上。1992年通过黑龙江省国营农场总局农作物品种审定委员会审定,确定推广。
