After experiencing the great development of the Harold-Dormer model from the 40s to the 50s and the Solo model and the Denison model from the 1960s to the 1970s, the modern theory of economic growth has received numerous criticisms since the 1970s and even throughout the 1970s Almost no big idea and theoretical system appeared. However, in recent years, there have been a series of new theoretical breakthroughs in the economics of growth, resulting in Romer’s “Increasingly Increasing Economic Growth Model,” Lucas’s “Specialized Human Capital Accumulation and Growth Model,” and Scott’s The so-called “The New Growth Theory,” a model of growth in which capital investment determines technological progress. At present, the “new growth theory” has aroused the widespread concern of the international economic community and has exerted an influence on the world economic development. It shows that growth economics has stepped out of the “dull” period and entered a new stage of development.
