甘肃民勤,处于中国西部腾格里沙漠和巴丹吉林沙漠中间的一块绿洲,曾几何时,备受风沙危害。在过去半个世纪里,以勤劳勇敢著称的民勤人民,为了守护自己的家园,抗击两大沙漠的“合龙”,与狂暴肆虐的风沙进行了艰苦卓绝的长期搏斗。全国“防沙治沙十大标兵”、“优秀共产党员”石述柱,就是他们中的杰出代表。
Minqin, Gansu, is an oasis in the middle of the Tengger Desert and Badain Jaran Desert in western China, where it was hitched by winds and sand. Over the past half century, Minqin people, known for their diligence and courage, have waged arduous and long-term battles against violent raging sand in order to protect their homeland and fight the “dragons” of the two deserts. One of the outstanding representatives of the nation is “Stone Ten Poles for Sand Prevention and Desertification Control” and “Excellent Communist Party Member”.
