我是1944年初才从“国統区”到达延安的,可惜我去延安的吋候太晚了,耽的时間也太短,只参加了話剧《粮食》《前綫》和歌剧《白毛女》的导演工作,可談的实在太少,不过在排演这几个戏的工作过程中,有許多事情是使我永远不能忘記的。《粮食》是延安經过了整風、大搞秧歌运动后創作和演出的第一个大型話剧。剧本是陈荒煤和姚时晓同志創作的,由张水毕同志和我担任导演。参加演員工作的有田方、张平、陈强、牧虹、馬可以及魯艺戏剧音乐系
