词汇是学习英语的基础,认知能力对词汇学习非常重要。当前,在初中英语词汇教学中,很多教师通常只是让学生通过背、默单词的方式来记单词,忽略学生认知能力的培养。教师应教会学生单词的正确读音,帮助学生获取单词的清晰形象,将词汇按不同范畴分类,教给学生单词的隐喻及转喻意义等,培养学生认知能力,进而促进学生的英语词汇学习,进一步提高学生的英语综合运用能力。
Vocabulary is the basis of learning English, cognitive ability is very important for vocabulary learning. At present, in junior high school English vocabulary teaching, many teachers usually just let the students remember words by means of back and silent words, ignoring the cultivation of students’ cognitive ability. Teachers should teach students the correct pronunciation of words to help students get a clear image of the word, the vocabulary according to different categories, to teach students the metaphor of words and the significance of metonymy, etc., to develop students ’cognitive abilities, and then promote students’ English vocabulary learning, Further improve students’ ability to use English comprehensively.
