2013年11月6日,全国公共文化服务体系建设会议在上海召开,银川市被授予国家首批公共文化服务体系示范区称号。这是近年来银川市先后荣获全国卫生先进城市、全国最宜人居城市、全国精神文明先进城市、全国民族团结先进集体等多项荣誉后又一国家级荣誉称号。据了解,自2011年2月银川市申报创建国家公共文化服务体系示范区以来,市委、市政府把创建国家公共文化服务体系示范区作为打造文化强市的重要抓手,着力构建覆盖城乡的公共文化服务体系,全面实施文化惠民工程。两年来,共投入4亿多元,新建、改建公共文化服务设施700多处,新建社区少儿文体设施100处,老年文化活动中心60个,初步形成了“城市活动中心15分钟,农村10里”文化圈,群众文化活动丰富多彩,城市文化品位、人文素质和文化影响力显著提升,文化事业呈现出快速发展的良好态势。
