久闻香港演艺学院院长、著名导演钟景辉先生大名,正巧我随广东粤剧院去香港演出粤剧《魂牵珠玑巷》,演出间隙时,我拜访了钟先生。我们谈话的内容,自然是围绕着“戏剧”这个主题。钟先生讲,他曾导演过莎士比亚的名剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》。他把这出戏的剧名改为《梦断城西》,并把罗密欧的籍贯改成了香港人,朱丽叶来自澳门。这出话剧的台词和歌唱全部用香港话表达。演出时,香港观众感到亲切无比。说到此,我们为戏剧家的创作意志得到极大的释放而开心大笑。我说:“钟先生,这使我想起我们中国莎士比亚研究会会长曹禺先生讲过的一句话,‘没有一个艺术殿堂是必须脱了鞋子进去的,莎翁的戏剧更是不例外。’您的实践不仅让香港观众穿着鞋子走进剧中
