1988年以来,我连续当选为第七届、第八届全国人大代表,并同时当选为江苏省南通市第九届、第十届人大代表。8年来,我极为珍视党和人民对我的信任,珍视人大代表的荣誉,努力行使着人民赋予自己的参政议政权利。8年来,我向全国人大及其常委会提出个人建议及提出和参与提议案80多件,平均每年10多件。其中我引为自豪的是,针对自己认为极为重要的社会问题——思想道德教育薄弱,爱国主义教育滞后,人们的社会主义观念、集体主义观念、为人民服务的观念以至国家观念较为淡薄的现象,提出了一系列关于爱国主义教育和精神文明建设的建议和议案。
Since 1988, I have been elected as the 7th and 8th NPC deputies consecutively and at the same time I was elected as the 9th and 10th NPC deputies in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. In the past eight years, I have greatly cherished the trust the party and people hold to me, cherished the honor of deputies to the people’s congresses, and tried their best to exercise the people’s right of participating in politics and deliberation. In the past eight years, I made personal suggestions to the NPC and its standing committee and submitted and participated in more than 80 proposals, averaging more than 10 each year. What I am proud of is that for those social issues that I think are extremely important - the weak ideological and moral education, the lagging education in patriotism, the people’s concept of socialism, the concept of collectivism, the concept of serving the people and the weak state concept , Put forward a series of suggestions and proposals on patriotism education and spiritual civilization construction.
