2001年3月,陈祖传先生赴利比亚进行技术讲座,在完成技术讲座后与该国19家石油公司的交谈中,心脏病突发,经抢救无效,于当地时间3月12日15时40分(北京时间21时40分)逝世,享年71岁。 陈祖传先生,生于1931年1月,浙江省宁波人。生前任物探局副总工程师、物探局高级技术专家、教授级高级工程师,享受政府特殊津贴的专家。他是中国地球物理学会会员、中国石油学会理事、欧洲勘探物理学家及工程师协会会员、美国勘探地球物理家学会终身会员;中国石油学会物探装备分会与本刊的高级顾问。
March 2001, Mr. Chen Zuchuan went to Libya for technical talks, after completing the technical talks with the country’s 19 oil companies in the conversation, a heart attack, the rescue fails, at local time at 12:40 on March 12 (Beijing time at 21:40) died at the age of 71 years. Mr. Chen Zuchuan, born in January 1931 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. In his lifetime, he served as deputy chief engineer of Geophysical Bureau, senior technical expert of Geophysical Bureau, senior engineer at professor level, and expert enjoying special government allowances. He is a member of China Geophysical Society, a director of China Petroleum Society, a member of European Society of Exploration Physicists and Engineers, a lifelong member of the American Society of Exploration Geophysicalists, and a senior advisor to the Geophysical Equipment Branch of the Chinese Petroleum Institute.
