I. Review of China’s Economic Development in the Past Two Years after Entering WTO Since its entry into the WTO on December 11, 2001, China has been in the process of nearly two years. Here, the Chinese economy has made remarkable achievements and has become a bright spot in the world economy. (1) 2002 China’s GDP exceeded 10 trillion yuan for the first time. The growth rate is three times that of the world at the same period. It is estimated that the GDP growth this year will be around 8.5%. The overall economy has been running smoothly and the industries such as agriculture, service industry and manufacturing industry have enjoyed a good trend of operation.
