This article describes the basic issues involved in the design and development of wireless access and wireless LAN systems that will operate in the 60GHz band as part of a 4G system. The 60 GHz band is of great interest because of the large amount of spectral space (5 GHz) that is allocated worldwide for dense wireless local communications. In addition, discuss how to use its rich bandwidth resources for short-range communications. Mainly to develop a general system structure, the structure is characterized by: availability, measurability, modularity, scalability and interoperability.
