螺丝铣刀是一种高生产率的螺纹刀具,但这种刀具的制造仍停留在较低的水平;目前,多半采用K96或其他同类型的铲齿机床铲磨螺丝铣刀的齿形。这种机床,使用的砂轮直径很小,而且不能使用冷却液,因此,磨削能力很差,特别是砂轮的成形面磨损很快,以致难于保证齿形的精度。在解决这些问题上,各地已经作出不少成功的经验,今在这些经验的基础上,综合成两个比较主要的方面加以讨论。
