网络计算正在成为信息产业的强大推动力,为商家提供了广阔前景,各主要厂商纷纷粉墨登场。微软宣称“信息尽在指间”,SUN提出“网络就是计算机”。IBM则把重点转移到“以网络为中心”,推出了IBM软件服务器套件,把人们带进网络计算广阔的世界。 IBM软件服务器是一组集成的、跨平台的产品,为业界提供了广泛的客户/服务器应用支持。它可以帮助企业内部、企业与伙伴之间、企业与顾客之间建立有效的信息沟通,支持开放工业标准,可连接不同厂家的系统。IBM在这产品中组合了50多个部件,供用户适度裁剪充分满足其使用要求。
Network computing is becoming a powerful driving force for the information industry, providing businesses with broad prospects, the major manufacturers have come out on stage. Microsoft claims that “information is at the fingertips”, and Sun states that “the Internet is the computer.” IBM shifted its focus to “network-centric,” introducing the IBM Software Server Suite to bring people into the world of network computing. IBM Software Server is a set of integrated, cross-platform products that provide the industry with a broad range of client / server application support. It can help establish effective communication between enterprises, enterprises and partners, enterprises and customers, support open industrial standards and connect different manufacturers’ systems. IBM has combined more than 50 components in this product to allow users to tailor their suitability to meet their requirements.
