《华北农业学报》(季刊)是一份多省市多单位联合主办的大农业综合性学术期刊,创刊于1986年,是当时科技体制改革的新事物,在农业科技界和读者中受到欢迎和赞许。该刊前身是《河北农学报》,创刊于1962年,主办单位是河北省农林科学院和省农学会。党的十一届三中全会以后,各行各业都在贯彻有关改革的各项决定。河北、北京、天津三省市农科院经多次接触酝酿,于1985年4月共同议定加强科研联合与协作,其中重要的一项就是合办《京津冀农学报》,取代各自原有的同类期刊。华北五省市同属一个农业生态自然区,农作物及畜禽林木种类、经营管理无大差异,土壤性质、气候特点以及病虫灾害也基本相同,农业科研更无严格的界限。经三省市协商,接受领导部门建议,扩大联合范围,邀请山西、内蒙古参加,刊物定名为《华北农学报》。从1985年7月10日召开联合办刊首次筹备会,7月30日省科委批准,获得公开发行刊号。1986年春,《华北农学报》创刊号顺利出版,向国内外公开发行。该年冬,河南省农科院、农学会也来参加,至此,学报成为六省市十二个单位联合主办的期刊。
North China Journal of Agriculture (Quarterly) is a large-scale agricultural comprehensive academic journal jointly sponsored by many provinces and municipalities.
