江苏连云港地处黄海之滨,位于长江以北300公里处。多少年来一些权威花卉书刊断言:“长江以北地区寒冷,不能露天栽种茶花。”的确,我们这里夏天最高气温有时达37～38℃(室外阳光下高达45℃);而冬天又很冷,有时可降至(-7～-8)℃。因此就连本地一些老花工也有同样看法,故而一直没人敢露天栽种茶花。
