The Dombrock (Do) system consists of the dominant alleles Do ~ a and Do ~ b on two autosomes. Anti-Do ~ a is detectable by an indirect antiglobulin test and readily reacts with enzyme-treated erythrocytes, it does not activate complement and does not react with 0.2M DTT-treated erythrocytes. Anti-Do ~ a seldom exists alone, usually in coexistence with other antibodies such as anti-E and anti-Fy ~ Δ. The authors reported two simple anti-Do ~ a.
