The research in this paper on Zaire debt focuses on the important role played by its domestic economic policies and the essential characteristics of their political and economic management. It is these domestic factors that affect Zaire’s ability to pay off debts and the ability to use foreign debts to promote economic development . Most developing countries use international capital markets as a means of obtaining much-needed funding and using such money to build up accumulated projects aimed at increasing output and income.
