Not long ago, we walked into the prairie of northwestern Sichuan where the Red Army marched in that year. The endless prairie, sometimes clear sky, the hot sun; sometimes overcast clouds, thunder and lightning, heavy rain and hail, rapid. Poor natural environment, so that many areas of grass is not only difficult to find traces of people, birds and animals also disappear. In retrospect, after the Red Army troops entered the lawn, it rained almost every day. Rain not only drenched the soldiers’ clothes, but also overwhelmed the Red Army troops. In some locations, tens of kilometers of water are knee-deep. As a result, many Red Army soldiers deviate from the route and sink into mud and swallow up swamps. Sometimes, in the face of overwhelming hail of “big game eggs like beans”, the Red Army soldiers have no place to hide, and the direction is difficult to distinguish. Sometimes the troops have traveled hard for hours and returned to their place of origin.
