第一部分主要介绍上海现代语言学会（ＸＹ）成员在功能解释目标下的努力和成果，第二部分对功能解释进行了理论和方法的分析、预测，第三部分介绍ＸＹ成员近年来在参予社会、扩大语言学影响和普及语言学知识方面所做的大量工作。
The first part mainly introduces the efforts and achievements of members of Shanghai Modern Languages Association (XY) under the goal of functional explanation. The second part analyzes and predicts the functional explanation through theory and method. The third part introduces XY members’ , Expanding linguistic influence and popularizing linguistic knowledge.
