“劝善”是流行于民间的一种以讲唱形式劝人积善行德、与人为善的讲唱艺术,山西河东民间现今仍有大量的劝善遗存。由于它内容丰富,曲调婉转流畅,词句通俗易懂,在当地农村仍受到群众喜爱。本文运用民族音乐学和音乐社会学的理论方法,通过实地考察和走访,结合收集和掌握的文献资料,对其唱词格律、旋律程式、艺人状况、传承等进行了描述分析,并对其宗教意识、社会功能价值进行研究。
