“小麦新型不育系,课题组张改生助教在李正德教授和杨天章副教授的指导下,经过6年的努力,在国内外首次选育出稳定的偏凸山羊草细胞质的小麦雄性不育系并卖现三系配套。 利用小麦杂种优势是世界各国农学家们梦寐以求的目标。60年代以来,杂交小麦的研究主要是应用具有提莫菲维小麦细胞质的雄性不育系(即T型)。但T型雄性不育系的恢复源少,恢复度低,种子皱缩,很难应用于生产。此后国内外学者在大量工作的基础上,陆续又发现了20余种不同细胞质杂源的雄性不育类型,其中尤以粘果山羊草和易变山羊草细胞质为背景的雄性不育类型性状较理想。自1983年开始,张改生等以10种不同山羊草细胞质为背景的异质小麦品种Chris为母本,与1B/1R小麦——黑麦类型的77(2)杂交并连续进行回交置换,终于在国内外首次发现偏凸山羊草细胞质是一种更理想的雄性不育细胞质源。试验表明:
