我在1928年认识了高长虹。在此以前从北京报刊的副刊上见到他的名字的次数不少,只觉得他的文章笔锋锐利,有时近于刻薄。又知道他和鲁迅因《莽原》意见不合而离开北京,料想他不会是个易于相处的人。他到上海后,住在宝山路天通庵一所石库门房子里,正好南国社员陈凝秋也住在附近,他们两人很熟。我去陈凝秋处,就认识了他,此后常到他的狂飇社去玩。
I met Gao Changhong in 1928. Before that, there were quite a few times his name was seen from the supplement of the Beijing press, only to find that his essay was sharp and sometimes subtle. And knowing that he and Lu Xun left Beijing due to the disregard of “Mang Yuan”, he would not think he would be an easy-going person. After he arrived in Shanghai, he lived in a Shikumen house at Tiantong’an, Baoshan Road, just south of the country where member Chen Ningqiu lived nearby, and both of them were familiar. I went to Chen Qiuqiu Department, met him, often to his hurricane club to play.
