On June 4, 2003, the party secretary of the Sports Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region and the chairman of the Mountaineering Association of Autonomous Region extended their condolences to Zhangmu Port on the border between China and Nigeria and warmly welcomed all the officers and staff of the 14 peak expeditions above 8000 meters climbing in Tibet to triumph back to China.
