宇宙尘是重要的地外物质,对它的研究是现代空间科学的重要课题,它可以邦助我们了解太阳系起源与演化、陨石消融过程、慧星的瓦解和黄道光的形成,通过微结构的研究即可获得有关信息。为此,利用扫描电子显微镜研究了内蒙古、鄂、皖等五省(区)前寒武纪不同时代的宇宙尘样品,拍照150余张照片,根据表面和断面微结构特点和形成先后划分出球粒结构、文象结构、气印结构、晶洞结构和裂纹-裂隙结构以及气孔等21种原生和次生结构。这些结构反映宇宙尘形成过程经历了熔融、凝聚、重熔、熔蚀和断裂等多种作用,而这些结构对探讨宇宙尘的形成和演化有着重要意义,这些结构的存在,证明宇宙尘可能是由太阳星云尘粒凝聚或陨石重熔形成具多成因的特点。
