农田防护林是辽宁省海城市西部平原地区林业发展的重要组成部分,它对于防风固沙、调节农业生产环境、改善生态条件等都有着巨大的作用。特别是国家将其划定为生态公益林,并进行补偿,这对于农田防护林建设是一个难得的机遇。但由于海城市的西部平原农田防护林建设相对滞后,在一定程度上制约海城市经济的平衡发展。因此,科学合理地建设西部农田防护林体系,不但是现代林业发展的需要,更是社会经济可持续发展的需要。
Farmland shelterbelts are an important part of forestry development in the western plains of Haicheng City, Liaoning Province. They play a huge role in windbreak and sand fixation, regulating agricultural production environment and improving ecological conditions. In particular, the state designated it as an ecological public welfare forest and compensated it. This is a rare opportunity for the construction of farmland shelterbelt. However, due to the relatively laggard construction of farmland shelterbelts in the western plains of Haicheng City, the balanced development of Haicheng’s economy is restricted to a certain extent. Therefore, building a shelter-forest system in western China scientifically and reasonably is not only the need of modern forestry development, but also the need of sustainable socio-economic development.
