王潮安似乎在实践中悟到艺术创造的真谛,他笔下的画,是凭他的感觉画出来的,这感觉中体现了他灵性、悟性和修养,凝聚了他的生活经验和艺术技巧,所以,前面提到的他融合中西的努力,在他的画作中似乎不显痕迹。恐怕他自己也分不清在他的作品中,哪些是属于民族传统的,哪些是取自于西画。他求是是感情的真实流露,是画面的格调与情趣,是笔、墨、色的结合、交响予人的视觉和心理感染。因为他有较牢固的中国画基础,他的脚跟牢牢立在中国画这块沃土上,他的作品显然具有鲜明的中国艺术的气度,感情含蓄而真挚。但是,这些作品又有新的特质,有现代感,表现语言丰富而有张力。节选自邵大箴——《我读王潮安的画》
Wang Chaoan seems to realize the true meaning of art creation in practice. The paintings in his works are drawn by his feeling. His feeling embodies his spirituality, comprehension and cultivation, which embodies his life experiences and artistic skills. Therefore, The aforementioned efforts of his integration with China and the West did not seem obvious in his paintings. I am afraid he can not distinguish between his works, which belong to the national tradition, which is derived from the Western painting. His quest for truth is the true expression of emotion, the style and taste of the picture, the combination of pen, ink and color, and the symphony of human beings’ visual and psychological infections. Because of his solid foundation of Chinese painting, his heel is firmly rooted in the fertile soil of Chinese painting. His works obviously have a clear tolerance of Chinese art and their feelings are subtle and sincere. However, these works have new qualities, modernity, rich language performance and tension.
